[OPENING] UST Angelicum College Parents’ and Learners Orientation for A.Y. 2021–2022
Written by Pauline Manuel
It is indeed a great academic year that will begin with preparation and readiness.
Parents’ and Learners’ orientation is a practice that is done and organized within universities and other schools before the opening of classes. The UST Angelicum College conducted the orientation on the 6th and 7th of August 2021 for parents’ orientation while the 17th and 18th of August 2021 for learners’ orientation. They are given a chance to know and learn more about the school, its policies, culture, and what departments they can go to when a particular school requirement is needed. Parents and learners were also given a chance to ask questions and address concerns during the orientation. In line with this, the Parents learned how to implement the learning process at home and collaborate with teachers to maintain a healthy learning continuity.
The Orientation program for students and parents laid the foundation for academic success. It benefited parents in becoming more acquainted with the school and its distinctive curriculum. Additionally, the orientation set the groundwork for students to choose which department they should contact to fulfill their academic needs. As a result, this orientation became a critical program that benefits everyone involved in the academic institution. Thus this program is implemented to clarify questions and provide solutions before the start of classes and the onset of obstacles to both parents and students. Consequently, the orientation has allayed incoming and current students’ matters and prepare them for success by carefully preparing and utilizing all available school resources.
