[LITERARY] Trammel
Written by Sofia Tan
Make out of the things that seemed impossible.
I pledge, it would be remarkable.
Of things they deemed replaceable.
Know that you are audible.
You are worth more than you think you are.
The world is not inside a jar.
There’s a lot of places, you can go far.
Don’t be pulled down by a scar.
Your effect to the society may appear too strong.
But that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
That voice you have can be a daring song.
This is where you belong.
The quiet inside you are your brawn.
May your flame make them drawn.
Your presentiments are your pawn.
Don’t be shaken by the dawn.
You shine the brightest you see.
You were always beaming with glee.
It’s not the reflection of your mirror you would be.
Soon, you’ll be free.
Unshackled from the rigid rope of yesterday.
The emotions you always portray.
The inclination you would display.
Everything will soon be away.
It may be a matter of time ’til you understand.
That people will always reprimand.
I assure you would always withstand.
The execrable doom that was planned.
THE AUTHOR
My vagabond mind always gives me letters to write.
Hi! I am Sofia Irish Tan and a Literary Writer of UST Angelicum’s Tigercubs. I like writing that’s for one. My friends describe me as a talkative and reliable friend. I am an assiduous, forbearing, and easy to approach type of person. I also like sleeping.
Reading keeps my mind sane and contented. Writing keeps me sensible and free. I have been writing ever since I can remember. I find comfort and liberty in letters. I was able to find and enhance my latent abilities and vocabulary via writing. Through several letters, it assisted me in expressing my hidden sentiments and cloudy thinking. As you may have observed, I frequently refer to my love of poetry as letters, because letters for me were the ones who gave color to the black and white world of my puzzled thoughts.
Writing sparked something within of me that I had no idea existed; it became not just a way for me to express myself, but also a way for me to improve and broaden my viewpoint. Writing, in my opinion, entails not just writing but also listening.
