the worst kind of love may very well be those that are left in heartbreak.
love unsaid, love unprofessed, love unencumbered but never acted upon.
the worst kind of love can also be love that’s alleged to be love.
being in love because you think you can,
being in love because you think you should,
being in love because you think you are.
love is contentment, but often, it is unfulfilled; so
you try to look for something good, something nicer, better.
a better kind of love, good love.
what you find, however, is the fact that good love doesn’t exist and good love doesn’t last.
because good love is not a feeling.
good love is a choice.
the choice to move on from a thousand heartbreaks, knowing that what stands before you is a thousand more.
the choice to walk barefoot down a pavement of shattered dreams and broken hearts.
the choice to be strong regardless of love no longer being something you want to feel but something you need to choose.
the worst kind of love is a love that you have to choose.
a love you anticipate. a love you wait for.
a love that was meant to arrive but never actually does.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
In a perpetual state of restlessness, I always seem to have something going on.
I am Russell Thomas Tuazon, this year’s Editor-in-chief and the catalyst of the first-ever online publication in UST Angelicum’s SHS Department. I have always had a knack as well as a penchant for writing. I believe in the power of writing and its ability to verbalize even the most indescribable emotions and situations. And for that, I have grown fond of literature and journalism.
I like to think of myself as headstrong and willful. I believe that sheer will with a little bit of luck can get you places. In reality, however, I am but a spaced-out nuisance of the school with too many goals and too little body fat. Oh, and I also like to perform.
The USTAC Tigercubs has so much potential for such a modest club. But I hope to unlock at least a semblance of this potential through this online publication.
